History
Gianni Versace S.p.A. - the Italian company founded in 1978 by Gianni Versace. After Gianni’s death in 1997, his sister Donatella Versace, formerly vice-president stepped in as a creative director, and her older brother Santo Versace became CEO.
The first Versace boutique was opened in Milan’s Via della Spinga in 1978 and its popularity was immediate.
